Getty announced its new podcast series titled: Recording Artist: Radical Women which explores the lives of six female artists in the 20th century. With releasing its second podcast since its first production in 2016 titled, Art+Ideas, Getty is redefining the podcast industry and putting a twist on internet radio as they use unique audio interviews from the 1960’s and 70’s to capture the lives of artists: Alice Neel, Lee Krasner, Betye Saar, Helen Frankenthaler, Yoko Ono, and Eva Hesse during a period of immense change for women.

Radical Women will be hosted by historian, Helen Molesworth. She will be joined with art historians, cultural critics, and contemporary artists discussing the six artists to provide context to enrich our understanding during the time of the women’s rights movement.

Through archival audio, listeners will hear the artists describe in their own words their work, their relationships, and their feelings about the streaming visibility of feminism and women artists during the middle of the 20 th century.
