Empowering Creativity: 2024 Artistic Innovation Grant Recipients Announced

The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) is thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024 Investing in Artists: Artistic Innovation grants! This program, formerly known as Investing in Artists, continues its mission of supporting Bay Area performing and media artists who push the boundaries of creativity, explore new collaborations, and expand their artistic vision.

Since its launch in 2007, the Investing in Artists program has awarded over $2 million to more than 300 diverse artists across California, thanks to the generous support of The James Irvine Foundation and The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Now, with continued funding from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, CCI is excited to introduce a new grant cycle spanning 2024 – 2026.

Each year, through a competitive selection process, approximately eight grants of up to $9,000 will be awarded to innovative performing and media artists in the Bay Area. With a rotating county eligibility system, this initiative ensures that a wide range of artists receive the support they need to bring groundbreaking projects to life.
