Indian History in Jewels

'From the Great Mughals to the Maharajas' exhibition's world tour has come to Paris.

Until June 5th, the Grand Palais in Paris becomes a treasury, showcasing the iconic  Al Thani Collection in 250 pieces. It reveals beauty and mastery of early modern Indian jewellers, as well as their fascinating influence on Western art of jewelry.

Behind the glitz, the visitors can see major developments in Indian jewellery traditions, from its peak in 17th century through years of political chaos and colonization from the 18th centure onwards, to the age of the Durbar. But with this precious pieces of history, formed in jewels, it's better to see once, than to hear about it, especially, since the current exhibition in Paris brings them to one place.

'From the Great Mughals to the Maharajas'
