The Museum of Modern Art acquires an original-condition 1968 Fiat 500.

Surprisingly for some people, who may not be as familiar with the museum's agenda, but MoMA in fact has a rich history of collecting and displaying automobiles. Now, Fiat 500 has never been just a car, but an icon of autmotive history. MoMA recognises its artistic and cultural value, acquiring a car, commonly referred as the Cinquecento.

The model was launched in 1957 by the design of Dante Giacosca, who was responsible for many models design during his prolific 43-year career.
