Sundance Institute Unveils 2024 Screenwriters Lab and Screenwriters Intensive Fellows

The Sundance Institute has revealed the talented fellows chosen for its 2024 Screenwriters Lab and Screenwriters Intensive programs. These initiatives offer emerging artists a supportive environment for developing their inaugural and sophomore independent feature projects. From a pool of over 3,400 submissions, 12 projects earned a spot in the annual Screenwriters Lab, where 16 fellows will refine their scripts under the mentorship of seasoned creative advisors. The Screenwriters Lab is scheduled to unfold from January 13 to 17 at the scenic Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah.

Out of thousands of submissions, a select group of 12 projects were chosen for the prestigious Screenwriters Lab.

The Lab, renowned for fostering creative growth, will provide an immersive experience for fellows to advance their scripts with the valuable guidance of accomplished creative advisors.

The selected projects represent a diverse range of voices and narratives, showcasing Sundance's commitment to inclusivity in storytelling.

- In addition to the Lab, eight projects will participate in the Screenwriters Intensive, conducted online in March, extending the Institute's reach to a wider cohort of emerging talents.
