Ray Charles Foundation Donates $2M to GRAMMY Museum Foundation™: Rooftop Renamed in Tribute

The GRAMMY Museum Foundation™ has received a generous $2 million donation from The Ray Charles Foundation. In recognition of this substantial gift and to honor the enduring legacy of the legendary Ray Charles, the GRAMMY Museum® will rename its rooftop terrace to The Ray Charles Terrace at the GRAMMY Museum.

The rooftop terrace of the GRAMMY Museum will be officially renamed as The Ray Charles Terrace, paying homage to the iconic musician.
Museum’s Campaign For Music Education, launched in October 2022. The campaign aims to enhance access to the Museum’s education programs, including the renowned GRAMMY In The Schools® initiatives.
- An official GRAMMY® Week event is scheduled for January 29, 2024, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. This celebration, hosted by GRAMMY-winning producer Jimmy Jam, will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a red carpet, a cocktail reception, and musical selections curated by GRAMMY-winning DJ Khalil.
