This visit marked the conclusion of the GRAMMYs on the Hill® Advocacy Day, Capitol Hill's premier legislative event for music advocacy.
Before the White House visit, members of the music community engaged in productive dialogues with lawmakers, including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, and other prominent legislators. Discussions revolved around pressing issues such as protecting individual creators' image, likeness, and voice from AI-generated fakes, as well as reforming the live event ticket marketplace to enhance protection for artists and fans.
Key legislative measures discussed included the No AI FRAUD Act, the No FAKES Act discussion draft, the Fans First Act, and the TICKET Act. These initiatives aim to safeguard the integrity of creators' work and ensure fair treatment within the music industry.
