The highly anticipated HBO Original three-part documentary series "REN FAIRE," directed by Lance Oppenheim and executive produced by Elara Pictures, is set to debut on Sunday, June 2, from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes two and three will air back-to-back on the following Sunday, June 9. The series will also be available for streaming on Max.

Synopsis:

"REN FAIRE" delves into the world of the Texas Renaissance Festival, the largest such faire in the world. For fifty years, 86-year-old George Coulam, known affectionately as King George, has ruled this fantastical realm with an iron fist. As the elected mayor of the town he incorporated, Coulam has wielded immense power, enjoyed unmatched glory, and accumulated vast wealth as the majority shareholder of the festival. Now, as he contemplates retirement and the pursuit of a romantic companion, George faces the challenge of choosing a successor from among his longtime employees.

General manager Jeff Baldwin is poised to succeed him, but kettle-corn kingpin Louie Migliaccio has other plans.

E2: “Make Big Choices”

King George's quest for companionship leads to an unsuccessful date. Jeff faces challenges as Louie attempts to take over. Meanwhile, Darla Smith, with her own agenda, enters the power struggle.

E3: “We’re Done!”

Debut date: Sunday, June 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT)

Jeff manages to gain the upper hand over Louie. However, Darla’s promotion to co-General Manager brings unforeseen disastrous consequences. Ultimately, George determines his successor, settling on the only person he trusts.
