Top 10 Week of Sept. 2: ‘The Perfect Couple’ and ‘Rebel Ridge’ Hold the Top Spot.

Spoiler alert: With 20.3 million views, The Perfect Couple soared to the top of the English TV List, and fans enthusiastically RSVP'd for the season's biggest wedding celebration. Based on Elin Hilderbrand's New York Times best-selling novel, director Susanne Bier's witty, suspenseful limited series stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Meghann Fahy, Eve Hewson, Dakota Fanning, Ishaan Khatter, Billy Howle, and Jack Reynor. And without a little dancing, what kind of wedding is it? Fans became enamored with Meghan Trainor's "Criminals" opening credits flash mob, which was incredibly addictive. Trainor joined the trend as well!

Rebel Ridge, the fast-paced thriller from celebrated writer-director Jeremy Saulnier, landed at the top of the English Films List and became the week's most-watched film with 31.2 million views. The movie, which has been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes at 94%, the film has been dubbed the "action movie of the year." It stars Aaron Pierre as a “new kind of action hero,” playing an ex-Marine who finds himself caught in a violent standoff with a small-town police chief while trying to post bail for his cousin.

Fans faced off against demons, gods, and some complicated father figures (looking at you, Sir Reginald Hargreeves) for another thrilling week. Lee Daniels’ horror thriller *The Deliverance*, starring the ever-versatile Glenn Close, climbed to #2 on the English Films List with 21.8M views. On the English TV List, Charlie Cowell’s dark comedy series *KAOS*, featuring Jeff Goldblum as the insecure and tyrannical King of the Gods, claimed the #3 spot with 5.9M views, offering a fresh, twisted take on Greek mythology. Meanwhile, the fourth and final season of *The Umbrella Academy* landed at #10.

Comedies ruled the week, keeping fans in stitches. Returning to the English Films List were the action-packed *The Union* at #3 with 8.3M views and the edgy teen comedy *Incoming* at #5 with 6M views. Romantic comedies had their moment as well. *Emily in Paris* Season 4, Part 1 enchanted viewers, reaching #4 on the English TV List with 3.8M views, just ahead of the highly anticipated release of Part 2 on Sept. 12. Meanwhile, the films *Aloha* and *How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days* captured hearts, landing at #8 (4.3M views) and #10 (2.8M views), respectively.

Popular documentaries made their mark as well. *Worst Ex Ever* returned to #2 on the English TV List with 7.2M views, while *American Murder: Laci Peterson* followed at #8 with 2M views. In the Non-English TV category, the crime documentary *Caught in the Web: The Murders Behind Zona Divas* (Mexico) held steady at #5. The glamorous real estate drama *Selling Sunset* Season 8 debuted at #6 with 3M views, offering a fresh round of jaw-dropping homes and heated clashes. The survival competition series *Outlast* Season 2 premiered at #7 with 2.2M views.

On the Non-English Films List, the heartfelt Argentinian drama *(Un)lucky Sisters* soared to the #1 spot with 4.2M views. Other returning titles included the shark thriller *Under Paris* (France) at #8, the Mexican drama *Untamed Royals* at #9, and the Korean comedy adventure *Mission: Cross* at #10.

Dramas were also dominant on the Non-English TV List, securing four spots. The Spanish drama *Breathless* claimed the #1 position with 6.4M views, followed closely by the emotional thriller *The Accident* (Mexico) at #2 with 5.9M views. Romantic dramas *Romance in the House* (Korea) and *Chastity High* (Japan) rounded out the list, landing at #8 (1.3M views) and #9 (1M views), respectively.
