SXSW 2025 Audience Award Winners Announced: Celebrating the Best in Film & TV

The 32nd SXSW Film & TV Festival has wrapped up, and the audience has spoken! From March 7–15, festivalgoers cast their votes for their favorite films, TV shows, and immersive experiences, and now, the 2025 SXSW Audience Award winners have been revealed.

This year’s festival showcased an impressive lineup of 114 feature films, 57 short films, 19 music videos, and a dynamic TV and XR program. The diverse selection included 93 world premieres and highlighted both independent and major studio productions.

Among the winners, The Accountant 2, directed by Gavin O'Connor, took home the Audience Award for the Headliner category, while Fantasy Life won for Narrative Feature Competition. Documentary fans celebrated Remaining Native as the standout feature in its category, and Deaf President Now! earned the coveted Festival Favorite Award. The short film competition also recognized innovative storytelling, with Ben’s Sister winning in the Narrative Short category.

In the TV section, Spy High and Mix Tape were audience favorites, while Face Jumping claimed the top spot in the XR Experience Competition.

With SXSW being an official qualifying festival for the Academy Awards, some of these winners could go on to achieve even greater recognition. Congratulations to all the winners and participants who made this year’s festival unforgettable!
