Sundance Institute convenes Creative Producing Labs & Summit, giving the independent fiction and nonfiction producers the platform to collaborate with industry advisors.

Annual weeklong Creative Producing Labs officially commenced on July 30 at Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. Eleven fellows with different visions and approaches will have the chance to learn from the established industry experts. This year’s creative advisors include producers Anthony Bregman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Jess Calder (Anomalisa), Paul Mezey (Beasts of the Southern Wild), Heather Rae (Frozen River) and Adele Romanski (Moonlight). Screnwriter Meg LeFauve (The Good Dinosaur) and screenwriter/director Jeremiah Zagar ( We the Animals) also joined the team of advisors.

The program includes the annual Labs and Summit as well as year-round mentorship, granting, education and opportunities for financing and distribution.
