RatPac Entertainment 50’s themed event gathered about 200 celebrity guests at Brett Ratner’s private Beverly Hills residence on August 10th for quite an extraordinary cause. The evening emceed by Larry King, brought Kevin Tsujihara, Stevie Wonder, Sharon Stone, Mariah Carey, Naomi Campbell among others to honor U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

The centerpiece of the star-studded event was the announcement of miniseries ‘In Harm’s Way’, A humanitarian-focused project of RatPac in partnership with the U.N. After 5 years of idea developing, writer-producer David Raymond will bring to life dramatization of true stories of U.N. staff in several episode-season focused on historic crisis in different location.

Ban Ki-moon has a special vision of the great force for positive change that Hollywood community can be. A few years back, Creative Community Outreach initiative was launched under his supervision, aimed to collaborate with content creators to raise awareness of global issues. This time, he spoke about the world in trouble and moviemakers’ power to reach millions with the message of peace.

Brett Ratner and James Packer producing the narrative project about U.N. is a loud statement of proof, that visual entertainment industry is shifting big time. RatPac hopes to start production of the first season in the beginning of 2017.
