August 2017 marks a new milestone for the renowned women magazine.

Since its inception in 1937, Marie Claire focused on women around the world, covering health, beauty, and fashion topics. This year, for the first time, the magazine’s USA August edition became the inaugural sustainability issue, devoted entirely to the people, brands, and campaigns focused on protecting the environment.

The issue, that hit newsstands on July 18th, includes stories of fashion designers and brands, that incorporate sustainability practices, interviews with sustainability trail blazers, and features on 12 eco-conscious leaders from designer Stella McCartney to ethical fashion advocate Emma Watson. In the magazine’s own headlines ‘Going green has never looked so good’. Seems like glamour industry is moving in the right direction, one step at a time.
