American Artist: The Monophobic Response Opens Friday
LACMA invites you to experience American Artist: The Monophobic Response, a unique two-channel film and sculptural installation that reimagines a groundbreaking moment in space exploration history. This piece meticulously recreates the 1936 rocket engine test that launched the United States’ journey into space, blending technical accuracy with poetic reinterpretation. The installation will be on view from November 1–4. For press inquiries, please contact us at press@lacma.org.
Join us on Sunday, November 3, for Andell Family Sundays—Guide to the Galaxy, where visitors of all ages can create their own artwork inspired by Mapping the Infinite: Cosmologies Across Cultures. Discover how different cultures have explored and interpreted the vastness of the cosmos!
