On April 25, MusiCares invites music lovers and industry professionals around the world to take part in The Day That Music Cares—a global day of service that brings the music community together through acts of kindness and connection.

Now in its third year, this inspiring initiative encourages everyone—from tour crew, sound engineers, and managers to artists, fans, and label staff—to give back in ways that are meaningful to them. Whether it’s volunteering at a food bank, hosting a clothing drive, or helping clean up a local park, The Day That Music Cares is about showing up for your community and making a difference.

Last year, over 2,500 people participated. This year, MusiCares aims to go even bigger—because together, we’re capable of creating real impact.

The inspiration behind this movement stems from a 2023 advisory by U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, who named loneliness and isolation a public health crisis. As Dr. Murthy shared, “Service is a very powerful antidote to loneliness… it reminds us that we have value to bring to the world.” This spirit of connection and purpose is at the heart of The Day That Music Cares.

With April also being Global Volunteer Month, there's no better time to get involved. Let’s come together, give back, and celebrate the power of community through music and service.
