Green Carpet Awards brought together designers, models to honour the work of those, who are pushing the fashion industry into an environmentally-conscious direction. Gucci was awarded in two categories.

The first annual Green Carpet Fashion Awards, held in Milan on 24th of September, was a grand finale of the Milan Fashion Week. As expected, the event drew A-list guests like Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bundchen, Alessandro Michele, Georgio Armani, Anna Wintour, Suzy Menkes and others. If someone is still doubting that sustainable fashion has evolved from a niche to mainstream markets, it’s enough to look at the awards attendees wearing chic, sustainable designs from a range of labels.

Gucci president and chief executive officer Marco Bizzarri received the Supply Chain Innovation prize, the brand also was honored with Sustainable Development award. Some guests opted for a Gucci look for the awards ceremony, including Dakota Johnson, who dazzled in semi-sheer tulle gown.
