The iconic Italian jewelry house Bulgari has a new addition in its hospitality portfolio: the brand recently opened an extravagant new hotel in Shanghai.

The guided 48-story building with its 82 rooms and suites on the top eight floors—newly opened Bulgari hotel is a quintessence of ‘contemporary glamour’. Having launched properties in Beijing and Dubai over the past year, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts created once again an opulent retreat in Shanghai. Already, the majestic views of the city’s skyline, beautiful panoramas of old and new city grabbed attention, getting rave reviews.

As soon as you’re through the revolving doors, you know distinctly, you are in Bulgari house creation. Italian architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, responsible for the entire Bulgari hospitality portfolio, are behind the design. The hotel balances its excesses with engaging subtleties, such as the understated indulgence of the brand’s first on-site artisan chocolate boutique, and touches like the secret door leading to the jewelry salon.
