Caroline Vreeland

To say the Vreeland name is a significant one would be an understatement. Made famous by the fashion superstar Diana Vreeland, who worked as Fashion Editor of Harper’s Bazaar (1936-1957) as well as Editor-and-Chief at Vogue (1963-1971), the Vreeland name has become iconic. However, Instagram darling Caroline Vreeland, great granddaughter of Diana, has secured her place in the ranks of fashion royalty not only by her heritage but by her own unique sense of style. With Marilyn-blonde hair, a vintage look and love affair with Barbara Bui heels, Vreeland has, however, chosen to move away from the fashion world and carve a brand new path for herself in a different direction. Her new album, In Ruins, mimics the low-fi trippy style of Portishead while playing tribute to her idol since childhood Fiona Apple. A tattoo on Vreeland’s arm even quotes her lyrics, words she claims to live by: “I do not struggle in your web because it was my aim to get caught”.
