2025 Sundance Film Festival Reveals 93 Projects for Feature Film and Episodic Programs
The Sundance Institute has announced the lineup for the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, set to take place from January 23 to February 2, 2025. This year’s festival promises an impressive showcase of bold, independent storytelling with 87 feature films and six episodic projects representing 33 countries and territories. Audiences can attend screenings in person in Park City and Salt Lake City, or join online from January 30 to February 2, when more than half of the feature program will be available for streaming nationwide.
This year’s program highlights 89 world premieres, with 41% of feature film directors making their feature debut. The lineup spans U.S. Dramatic, U.S. Documentary, World Cinema Dramatic, World Cinema Documentary, and NEXT categories, alongside episodic and short film programs. Ten selected projects were supported by the Sundance Institute through development grants or residency labs, reflecting the Institute's commitment to nurturing independent voices.
Tickets for in-person and online screenings go on sale January 16, with early access for members. Daily premieres will begin on January 23 in Park City and continue through January 28, followed by additional showings in Park City and Salt Lake City until February 2.
Robert Redford, Founder and President of the Sundance Institute, described the Festival as a celebration of varied and vibrant filmmaking globally. Eugene Hernandez, the Festival’s Director, emphasized its role in fostering connection and dialogue through the artists’ stories.
