Repossi @Gagosian — The Maker

Aside from many exciting shows, Paris Fashion Week brought several non-catwalk events, marked in the calendars of fashionistas under the same 'must see' list. Gaia Repossi presenting her new jewelry collection in expansive space of Gagosian Gallery was exactly that type of happening.

Three generations of Repossi family created bold, unconventional jewelry designs, yet with strong roots into the traditions of old world craftsmanship. Gaia, who is now the Artistic Director of the company, continues to pay tribute to her family's heritage with every new collection. The jewelry is largely inspired by ethnic silhouettes, reinvented in the contemporary art forms, it's no surprise when these pieces appear in the art space of a gallery.

The fashion pack gathered in the Gagosian Gallery discovered the new Agrafe collection, filled with asymmetric rings, earrings, iconic diamond ear cuffs and geometric elegance in every piece. The designer highlighted that she creates jewelry, that plays nicely with the lines, enhancing the architecture of the face. The gallery hosted an exhibition by Sterling Ruby at the same time, serving as a backdrop to the Repossi's creations.

雷波西家族连续三代，在保留传统精湛工艺特色的基础上创作出诸多大胆创新的珠宝设计。Gaia作为现在公司的艺术总监，在她新一季的作品中延续了这一个传统。她的作品受到了民族剪影的启发，通过不断变换的艺术形式呈现出来。这样的作品作为艺术品展出，也不足为奇了。

这一次在高古轩画廊展出的作品Agrafe系列，通过几何图形设计出不对称的戒指、耳环、袖口，多变不失优雅。设计师还特地强调，这些设计都很好地利用了线条的设计，用以提高整体设计的结构性。与此同时，高古轩画廊正在进行红宝石的展出，衬托出雷波西的产品。
