A win-win moment: Christian Louboutin supports the urban and stylish Bike Polo, presenting his new collection at Pitti Uomo.

During the 92th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo fair, a pivotal moment in the men fashion calendar, the shoe guru took another approach to introducing his men’s collection. Louboutin staged a day-long Bike Polo tournament, known as Hardcourt Bike Polo, with the 8 participating teams debuted a key Autumn/Winter 2017 line of the ‘Aurelien’ sneaker. It puts a modern twist to the classic 90’s basketball footwear, boasting hand-cut leather pieces, in a perfect mix of Italian craftsmanship and innovative manufacturing technology.

Traditional Polo brought the whole chunk of the fashion industry with it: from the players’ attire stylish outside the competition to the high-end dress code of the audience. Louboutin seems to be catching the next trend, as Hardcourt Bike Polo played by thousands of enthusiasts worldwide. They may have traded a horse for a bike, but they spread the interest to the new urban team sport with  passion. And Louboutin? With the modern designs meant for comfort that doesn’t compromise style, for the brand it’s a win-win in any case.
