The New Museum and artist Maurizio Cattelan launched a new initiative, inviting friends and other artists and performers to keep us company online, and soothe our worries before falling asleep. From existing works, to glimpses of unpublished writings, impromptu performances, captured in an unfiltered fashion. Head to New Museum’s website now until the end of June to hear Iggy Pop reading a humorously touching love letter to a long-lost dog, Tacita Dean and Andra Ursuta offering poetic reflection through the words of Thomas Hardy and Witold Gombrowicz, Laure Prouvost and Seth Price offering a glimpse inside the surreal literary landscapes of their own heads. Taken together, these readings compose a compendium of strange and inspiring tales from some of today’s most beloved artists to offer comfort, distraction, and amusement.
