No, this is not a title of some body-positivity campaign, or advertisement of an advanced yogi class. It’s an unusual exhibition, which opened in Tai Kwun Contemporary on May 25th.

On view through September 2020, this group exhibition features works of five artists: Tap Chan, Thea Djordjadze, Jason Dodge, Eisa Jocson and Pratchaya Phinthong. Curated by Xue Tan, who says the exhibition experiments with concepts of ‘sculpture’, «My body holds its shape» brings sculptures, photographs, and narratives to the historic F Hall. Set in a former printing facility and women’s prison, the exhibition becomes live from the firs hour with Eisa Jocson’s work-in-progress performance Zoo. If you’re taking the trip down to Tai Kwun Contemporary, you can also check out They Do Not Understand Each Other—a group exhibition focusing on the issue of cultural exchange and (mis)communication.
