In the States, navigating the new reality, galleries are opening to the public for timed viewing appointments beginning September. For their fall program, Hauser & Wirth brings art back to its spaces in Los Angeles and New York, but also not forsaking online. On view until January 10th 2021 in the gallery’s LA space, a solo exhibition of abstraction art pioneer Ed Clark, the exhibition will survey works from the artist’s highly formative years of 1960 though 1980, when Clark expanded the language of abstraction. The New York gallery, will exhibit art of Luchita Hurtado, Jack Whitten, and George Condo— very personal works, rarely seen works, and new paintings. For a dose of artistic treatment on pandemic reality, you can head to the gallery’s online exhibition of Mark Bradford, that goes online on September 8th.
