The collaborative initiative of the New Museum, exploring the future of cities from art and culture perspective.

The inaugural edition of IdeasCity will take place in New York on September 16th, moving forward in a two-year cycle through other cities— Detroit, Athens, and Aries. In New York, the New Museum will bring together The Architecture League, Bowery Poetry Club, Cooper Union and other local community organizations in Lower Manhattan to explore the ‘100 Action for the Future City’. This free and public event will be a day-long investigation of strategies, ideas, and propositions with artist talks, performances, and workshops.
