This May, You will be able to see the first exhibition to pair the works of 2 artists in The National Portrait Gallery : contemporary artist Gillian Wearing and innovative early-twentieth century photographer Claude Cahun, although born in different times, they share similar themes around gender, identity, masquerade and performance.
From late May to June, the National Portrait Gallery will stage a first exhibition to focus on one of the Britain’s leading artists Howard Hodgkin's portraits entitled "Abstract Friends," from which you can explore this abstract artist's important contribution to our understanding of what constitutes a portrait: colour, memory, emotion, process and imagination.
