Diverse Art Happens in the New Museum

The museum just announced its winter/spring 2019 season line-up, and it’s extensive.

From the first New York museum solo exhibition by Adelita Hosni-Bey and Mariana Castillo Deball to works of resident artist Jeffrey Gibson— the upcoming season in New Museum looks promising. The new season will kick off with three exhibitions, starting on January 22nd, inviting the audience to discover the most significant films to date by Adelita Husni-Bey, packed in a site-specific installation, immerse in cross-disciplinary art exploration of Mexican identity in works of Mariana Castillo Deball, and wander around the lobby exhibition showcasing net art history. Starting February 13th, the art lovers will also have a chance to roam among the vibrant assemblage-based works of Jeffrey Gibson, who will be the Department of Education and Public Engagement’s spring 2019 artist-in-residence. It’s shaping up a great art season to wait for, save the dates!
