Hauser & Wirth Further Explorations in Postwar Art
The gallery’s uptown Manhattan Space will be devoted to estates and historical exhibitions, overseen by a newly appointed international senior director— Koji Inoue
The appointment of Koji Inoue, who will assume the post in summer 2019, is part of the gallery’s mission to further expand its commitment to the full spectrum of art from the 20th century to the present. Inoue, who has served since 2008 in Christie’s auction house prior to joining Hauser & Wirth, will continue developing relationships with clients and consignors of important works of art from eminent collections worldwide. As a specialist in post-war art, Inoue’s position in Hause & Wirth is of key importance to put forward a vision of the gallery, combining actives across the primary and secondary markets, the historical and the new.
