Summer Continues at MoMA
Until the end of the year, you can enjoy extended summer hours program at MoMA, more art on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Museum of Modern Art will remain open until 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays through December 30th. It means more time to enjoy the upcoming exhibitions. In addition to works on display in the Museum’s world-class collection galleries, this fall’s exhibition lineup is capable to cure the heaviest case of ‘summertime sadness’.
Starting with Max Ernst: Beyond Painting, an exhibition focused on the career of the preeminent Dada and Surrealist artist, followed by the first major museum exhibition to showcase little-known printed works of Louise Bourgeois. The visitors will also be able to investigate fashion history in 111 garments at Items: Is Fashion Modern? exhibition, and sink into the interdisciplinary life of downtown New York in 1978-1983 at the Club 57: Film, Performance, and Art in the East Village exhibition. The late hours also provide additional opportunities to catch up this summer’s major exhibitions before they close—shows dedicated to Robert Rauschenberg and Frank Lloyd Wright.
