On the view from July 5th through October 23rd, the SUNSHOWER exhibition commemorates the 50th anniversary of ASEAN, showcasing the contemporary art from the region. Although widely in use, the term ‘SUNSHOWER’ is rarely found in dictionaries. Rain falling from clear skies - It’s a frequently seen phenomenon in Southeast Asia, and used as a poetic metaphor for the exhibition showcasing the fluctuation of the times, expressed in art.

After a 25 years-long field research conducted in the region, the team selected nearly 180 artworks by 86 artist groups from 10 ASEAN member countries.
