UTA Brings A New Artist Space to LA
One of the world’s leading talent and entertainment companies, United Talent Agency is transforming a former warehouse into 4,000 square foot space in Beverly Hills, that will provide a new outpost for exhibitions and programming opportunities.
The UTA Artist Space, redesigned with Ai Weiwei, will open in July 2018 with inaugural group exhibition One Shot, featuring works by selected Color Field painters, that embraced the simplicity of the optical response to color. Works by Morris Louis, Helen Frankenthaler, Kenneth Noland, Sam Gilliam, and Jules Olitski, among others will be on view.
This October, the Space will also host a first LA gallery exhibition of Ai Weiwei, who first began working with the talent agency during the development of his acclaimed documentary Human Flow. The artist is helping to execute an exclusive design concept for the new UTA Artist Space.
