The French artist, recently awarded with at Vårberg Art Competition by Stockholm Konst, has an insightful upcoming group exhibition.

On view from October 1st through December 15th in Olivier Malingue and for two weeks in Palais d’Iéna in Paris, Suspension – A History of Abstract Hanging Sculpture 1918 – 2018 brings together more than 50 works. Exploring the history of this little-known sculptural genre, the exhibition creates a dialogue both between artists of different generations and nationalities and between the works and the modern classics of the monumental space of the gallery. Works by more than 30 artists, including Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, Bruno Munari to the contemporary continuation of tradition through the works of Xavier Veilhan, Ernesto Neto, Tomás Saraceno, and Haegue Yang.

Veilhan, known for his bold and transfixing sculptural interventions, creates works unique to the setting and placed in dialogue with its surroundings.
