The grants provided to independent artists support their projects working across documentary, narrative, episodic and emerging media.

The captivating and inspiring films selected for the grant, focus on critical social issues of civic empowerment, data and digital rights, independent media, and financial transparency. And She Could Be Next, A Cop Movie, The Fourth Man, The Forgotten Margins, Influence, and La Vocera tell important stories that are powerful force for change. The six newly announced projects join the other two works The Infiltrators, and Softie—previously selected by the Sundance Institute and global philanthropic organization Luminate.
