Going to Sundance to watch movies is a unique and special experience, shared by thousands of indie movie lovers every year. This year, Sundance Film Festival went into a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Sony Pictures Classics and Trafalgar Releasing to deliver this experience to independent film fans who were not able to come to the festival.

The Climb, a story of tumultuous but enduring relationship between two men, was selected for the first nationwide simulcast in 10 theaters. The innovative simultaneous screening, followed by Q&A is another example of how Sundance constantly exploring new ideas to showcase bold, independent film work, and expand the reach of the festival to new audiences.
