The eleventh edition, that took place digitally, once again gave the emerging independent writers and writer/directors a boosting opportunity to develop their first fiction features. This year’s group of dynamic artists, each telling their own indelible stories with their own distinctive style includes: Brian Robau, Daniel Klein, William Kwok, Tulica Singh, Chy Chi, Jo Hatcher, Jessica Mendez Siqueiros, Radhika Apte, Joyce Sherrí, Timothy Ware-Hill, and Xavier Coleman.

This cohort of artists from traditionally underrepresented communities had the opportunity to interrogate their stories and refine their artistic practice, all under the guidance of established writers and the Institute's Feature Film Program, led by Deputy Director of Sundance Institute Feature Film Program, Ilyse McKimmie and the program’s Founding Director, Michelle Satter.
