Claire Danes to Star in and Executive Produce Netflix Limited Series 'The Beast in Me'

Netflix has announced an exciting new limited series titled The Beast in Me, a gripping mystery thriller from the talented team behind some of television's most acclaimed dramas. Showrunner and Executive Producer Howard Gordon, Creator, Executive Producer, and Writer Gabe Rotter, along with 20th Television, are set to deliver a captivating story that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

The series stars the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Claire Danes, known for her roles in Fleishman Is in Trouble* and Homeland, who will also serve as an Executive Producer. Danes takes on the role of AGGIE WIGGS, an acclaimed author who has withdrawn from public life following the tragic death of her young son. However, her quiet existence is disrupted when a notorious real estate mogul, NILE SHELDON, portrayed by an as-yet-unannounced actor, moves in next door. Nile was once the prime suspect in his wife's disappearance, and Aggie becomes both horrified and fascinated by him, seeing him as the perfect subject for her next book.

The logline reads: "Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author AGGIE WIGGS has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by NILE SHELDON, a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Showrunner Howard Gordon, known for his work on Homeland, 24 , and The X-Files, brings his expertise in crafting suspenseful narratives to The Beast in Me. Meanwhile, Creator, Writer, and Executive Producer Gabe Rotter, who has contributed to The X-Files, ensures that the series is packed with intrigue and suspense.
