Today’s freshly dropped teaser trailer of GG Precinct reveals three new cast additions — Ng Ki-pin, Huang Lu Zi Yin, and Lin He-xuan — to the crime comedy series, premiering August 22. Audiences get to see the fully assembled, utterly unreliable, and comically inept police squad, which also includes Hsu Kuang-han, Gingle Wang, Ma Nien-hsien, and Flower Chen.

The eccentric squad members join forces in an attempt to solve a series of bizarre murders linked to Chinese idioms, establishing the premise that those who misuse an idiom may become victims. “Each idiom-inspired murder case is thoughtfully crafted by the creators, and we hope that this format of storytelling will be able to draw more people into the series,” shares executive producer Jin Pai-lunn. Director Yin Chen-hao adds, "GG Precinct creatively blends comedic and crime elements. By portraying absurd cases rooted in Chinese idioms, we hope to inspire a greater appreciation for language through comedy.”

Each member of the GG Precinct police squad possesses a distinct personality and skill set, as the ensemble embarks on a crime-solving adventure:

- Wu Ming-han, portrayed by Hsu Kuang-han (Marry My Dead Body, A Sun), is the straightforward and arrogant detective who returns to the precinct learning that his promotion to squad leader has been snatched by Lin Tzu-ching.

- Lin Tzu-ching, enacted by Gingle Wang (At the Moment, Wave Makers), returns as the young, beautiful, and capable squad leader who guides the motley cops of GG Precinct while proving her worth in her new role.

- Chang Yung-kang, played by Ma Nien-hsien, is promoted to precinct chief and struggles to navigate police bureaucracy.

- Chubby (Flower Chen) is the police squad’s wallflower and foodie, a neutral teammate amidst Wu Ming-han and Lin Tzu-ching’s relentless rivalry.

- Shao-nien (Ng Ki-pin) is an upright police officer who, after going undercover to investigate drug cases, accidentally became addicted and is now undergoing rehabilitation.

- Li Shu-fen (Huang Lu Zi Yin) is a crime profiler well-versed in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).

- Forensic Medical Examiner (Lin He-xuan) is an introverted and thorough professional dedicated to performing autopsies on deceased victims of the serial murder case.

GG Precinct is a unique genre-blending crime comedy series that builds on the acclaim of the box office hit Marry My Dead Body, which is also Taiwan’s official selection for the 2024 Academy Awards. In GG Precinct, rookie police captain Lin Tzu-ching and goofy detective Wu Ming-han face a trail of murders staged as chilling Chinese-idiom word games and race to solve the serial killer's deadly puzzles. All six episodes premiere on August 22, only on Netflix.
