The race for Cannes' top prize, the Palme d'Or won't be decided until the  festival ends on May 22nd, but one thing is for sure: the condenting films are very diverse this year to say the least.  The expectations are running high, while renowned directors like Xavier Dolan, Jim Jarmush, Ashgar Farhadi, Xavier Dolan, Ken Loach and many more join the race for the desired trophy. Other countries with a strong filmmaking tradition, such as Iran and Romania also present their films.

But there’s a lot more to Cannes than the competition and the trophy: screenings, loud premiers and renowned series such as ‘Un Certain Regard’. Cannes has seen the birth of stars and this year won’t be an exception, bringing the outstanding young directors and talent to the light.
