Chapter 12 : Dealing with your followers
-Your social network page should be about YOU first and then your followers.
-Don’t get obsessed with the numbers of likes or followers you have, instead focus on your page itself and making that into something that will attract followers in the long run.
The Dos and Don’ts of dealing with followers:
DO：
-Post regularly
- Keep your photos high quality and your posts meaningful
-Keep it consistent; whether it be opinions, writing style or photo style
-Be Original! Reposting funny photos will only get you so far…
-Interact with your followers and fans to keep them engaged
DON’T:
-Overshare; nobody cares what you had for breakfast this morning
-Resort to any ‘get followers’ apps. These followers aren’t interested in what you have to share! They are simply interested in getting more followers themselves.
-Be fake. It is hard to put on a façade for a long period of time. By keeping your pages genuine you are amassing followers that actually care about what YOU have to say rather than those who just respond to what you think they want to hear.
Being in a fandom:
-While following people on social media is a great way to stay up to date on your favorite celebrities, companies or other organizations, be wary of taking it too far.
The Dos and Don’ts of being in a fandom:
DO:
-Follow whomever you like.
-Repost or comment on those posts you have something constructive to say about.
-Do get excited when you are noticed!
DON’T:
-Comment on every single photo. Save it for when you have something constructive to say
-Beg for attention. There is nothing more desperate looking than a comment on a celebrity’s account begging “Please respond to me!”
-Lose your mind when you are noticed (or not noticed). They are just people too! It isn’t the end of the world!
与你的追随者接触：
-你的社交网络页面应该是关于你为首要，其次是你的追随者。
-不要迷恋于点赞或者追随者的数量，而应该集中于你的页面本身，在这制作那些能够长远地真正吸引追随者的东西。
与追随者之间该做什么和不该做什么
要做：
- 定期发文

-保持一致性；无论是意见，写作风格或照片风格
-原创！转发搞笑照片只会让你越走越远...
-与你的追随者和粉丝们互动，保证他们的参与度
切勿：
-过度分享；没有人会关注你今天早饭吃了什么
-采用任何“获得追随者”的应用程序。这些追随者对你的分享一点儿不感兴趣！他们只对让他们自己获得更多的追随者感兴趣。
-虚假。这是很难把一个门面的时间长。保持你的网页真诚，你会得到真正关心你说什么的追随者，而不是那些只想从你这听到他们想要的回应的追随者。
作为一个影迷：
-在社交媒体上关注你最喜爱的名人，企业或者其他组织是保持最新消息的好方法，但要注意适度就好。
作为一个影迷该做什么和不该做什么：
要做：
-关注你喜欢的人。
-在转发或评论那些帖子时说一些建设性的话。
-当你被注意到感到兴奋！
切勿：
-评论每一张照片。留着等到你有有建设性的话要说时再说
-乞求关注。没有什么比在名人账户上乞求“请回复我！”这样的评论更让人绝望
-当你被注意到（或没有注意到）时失去理智。他们只是人！这不是世界末日！
