Macau Film Festival : The Good, The Better

Macau’s new International Film Festival & Awards wrapped up the first edition on December 13th with a huge MGM celebration.

The six-day movie extravaganza was a success and it gave the chance for the cinema lovers in the region to see some of this year’s Oscar-promising pictures. The big winners at the festival included “The Winter”, “Trespass Against Us” while Marco Martins walked away with a Best Director Prize for his “Saint George”, the movie, which also scored a best actor award. Feng Xiaogang was presented with Career Achievement Award for his hit works including “If You Are the One”, “I Am Not Madame Bovary” and “Aftershock”.

The evening closed up with a celebration, hosted by MGM MACAU in the best luxury traditions. The company has actively supported the filming of “Look for a Star” (2009), “Book of Love,” the second installment of “Finding Mr. Right” (2016) and “Skiptrace” (2016) at its property and is known for its extensive contributions to the creative industries. International Film Festival’s big night attracted major A-list celebrities from the film industry as well as rising talent and art world supporters: Shekhar Kapur, He Chaoqiong, Qian Hua, Josie Ho Chiu Yee, Ann Hui, Rhydian Vaughan, Zhang Hanzhu among others.

澳门电影节:锦上添花的盛会

第一届澳门国际电影节及其颁奖仪式在十二月十三日伴随着一场盛大的澳门美高梅庆典宣告结束。

这场为期六天的电影盛会获得了空前的成功，并让该地区的电影爱好者有幸观看那些有机会冲击奥斯卡奖的作品。在电影节的大赢家包括“The Winter”、“Trespass Against Us”，而Marco Martins因为他的“Saint George”带走了最佳导演奖的奖杯，这部电影也将最佳男演员奖收入囊中。冯小刚被授予终身成就奖，他的作品包括“If You Are the One”，“I Am Not Madame Bovary”和“Aftershock”。

晚会以一个庆典收尾，秉承着澳门美高梅最豪华的传统。美高梅积极支持电影“Look for a Star”（2009），“北京遇上西雅图之不二情书”（2016）和“绝地逃亡”（2016）在澳门区的拍摄，为创意产业做出了巨大的贡献。国际电影节的盛会吸引了大批来自电影产业的名人以及一些后起之秀和赞助商，其中有：Shekhar Kapur先生 ,何超琼女士, 杨千嬅女士, 何超仪女士, 名模琦琦女士, 许鞍华女士,凤小岳先生, 张涵予先生 等。
