The Biggest Eco-Community Event in SH

Eco Design Fair, the beloved event of conscious community in Shanghai, is returning for the eighth year, bigger than ever. Three-days showcase of the green tools to support environmentally-positive lifestyle kicked off from June 3 to 5 at the Lafayette Art and Design Center.

Presented by Eco&More, a local company that backs your toxins-free living in China with natural, plant-based care products, the fair grew to a major sustainable lifestyle happening in Shanghai. Aside from the usual mix of designs, lifestyle products and healthy food, this edition's schedule also featured celebrations for World Environment Day on Sunday, June 5th.

If you just tip-toeing around the idea of eco-conscious living, Eco Design Fair is a good inspiration point. The schedule boasts of avtivities for when you've already covered the ground with all vendors, showcasing environmentally-friendly brands for any occasion. A number of designers will present fashion shows, including Oba, Joyce Wang, Tiffany Pattinson and a much-awaited/controversial talk on circular fashion from H&M sustainability manager to introduce the other fashion.

EDF made sure that everyone would leave the event with a new skill learned at various workshops for any taste. Metal weaving, recycable paper art, hanging ear coffe, dancing and new fitness offerings—the menu of options is wide.

The EDF organizers also seem to share the beliefe, that environmentally-conscious lifestyle starts with little ones, making an extensive kids program, full of playful activities to learn eco-ways. All in all, Eco Design Fair is a not-to-miss event for the whole family.
