With an extensive jewel design experience and study background started in Brazil 20 years ago, Maria Oliva designs all her jewelry collections alone. Every line that she first draws on paper is guided by her unique vision and concepts she believes in.

Her debut collection «Millenium» was appreciated by many artists, who apparently found horoscopes, stars and constellation aesthetic very much to their likings. In addition, Maria designs personalized jewelry items for private clients. The artist shares that she can create a unique piece of jewelry for a person, once she feels their personality.

The artist's personal favorite—«I Stay with Nature» line as the concept behind it is very dear to her. Having moved to Shanghai, Maria seems to have found a new source of inspiration in Chinese culture, pouring it into a «Ba Collection». The collection explores the layered meaning of the number eight(ba) as it's a lucky number in China and projects the image of infinity, flipping the number.

艺术家个人最喜欢的«我与自然»作为其背后的概念是她最亲爱的。搬到上海后,玛丽亚似乎已经找到了来自中国文化的新灵感,融入«Ba Collection»,探讨的数字8的分层意义,因为它是中国的幸运数字和具有无限意向,翻转的数量。
