Gucci debuts a limited edition “Disturbia” art book by artist Peter Schlesinger. Only 1000 copies go out to the world

Who can take a look book for a pre-fall 2018 collection and turn it into an art publication, highly sought after among fashionistas? We know the answer. Gucci’s relationship with a New York artist Peter Schlesinger, who, perhaps is the most well known for appearing in numerous canvases by the British painter David Hockney, dates a couple years back. This year, the brand asked the artist to make a photoshoot, in the spirit of the cult Italian auteur Dario Argento, according to Vogue. And the best images do look like the stills from the movie, inhabited by models who are not mainstream in terms of their beauty, donning the creations of Alessandro Michele.

The extra images, shot alongside the women’s and men’s collections lookbooks, went into a new book Disturbia, that will be distributed by a London-based independent publisher IDEA and sold at selected stores and online.
