Nearly 180 artworks, 85 artists from 10 ASEAN member countries - that is just the statistics behind 2,5 years long field research, that finally brings together an exhibition. Launching on July 5th, “SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now” will be on display until October 23rd simultaneously at two museums.

With a total population counting around 600 million, Southeast Asia has truly nurtured a dynamic, diverse and unique culture. The Sunshower exhibition explores the development of contemporary art in the region since the 1980s. This aspiring exhibition will commemorate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and also will be one of the largest Southeast Asian contemporary exhibitions in history.
