Cartier Beyond Jewels
If diamonds is your first association that pops into mind when someone says Cartier, it's time to discover the contemporary art side of the brand.
Since its inception in 1984, Foundation Cartier has been a vessel that carried the brand's aspirations to leave a footprint in the art world, showcasing established contemporary artists and support the young ones. The museum in Paris presented part of their 2017 program recently.
Due to renovation, until April the audience would not be able to visit the museum, designed by Pritzker Prize architect Jean Nouvel. Until reopening, you can rediscover the collection through never-seen videos Les Coulisses d'une Collection and Et transparence.
On April 19th the museum will reopen to the public with Autophoto exhibition, followed by a selection of major works from the collection at Seoul Museum of Art, opening on May 31st. An installation Exit, commissioned by the Foundation and shown during the COP21 as well as at other international occasions, will be presented in Australia and Asia.
