Constellations : Artistic Dialogue
Exhibitions, examining Calder and Miro’s artistic output are simultaneously on display in New York.
Separated by the Atlantic during World War II and unable to communicate, Joan Miró and Alexander Calder tapped into a powerful artistic current, which allowed them to create unique series, that echo one another. You won’t have to cross the Atlantic, but merely several blocks between New York’s Pace Gallery and Acquavella Galleries, where the exhibitions are on display. Presenting approximately 60 sculptures, paintings and works on paper in dialog with one another, these landmark exhibitions explore the art and achievements of two artists. You can catch Calder’s exhibition at Pace Gallery until Jun 30, Miró---at Acquavella Galleries until May 26.
