National Portrait Gallery in London will devote several months to Cézanne’s portraits exhibition.

In collaboration with Musée d’Orsay and National Gallery of Art in Washington, the exhibition is set to launch on October 26 this year, going on until February 2018. The showcase of Paul Cézanne’s portraits will bring together for the first time over 50 of artist’s work from collections across the world, including ones, never before on public display in the UK.

Widely recognized as one of the most influential artists of the nineteenth century, Cézanne painted over 200 portraits during his career, leaving us with a vivid visual impression of the troubles and joys in a changing epoch, expressed on the faces of those, he depicted.
