Deceptively Ordinary Clay in New Light
The first exhibition to bring together the work of renowned American minimalist Dan Flavin and acclaimed European ceramists Lucie Rie and Hans Coper to open in Switzerland.
On the view from December 19th through February 4th in Vito Schnabel Gallery, the exhibition will show the works of master potters in an unusual light, literally. Eighteen light works by Flavin dedicated to Lucie Rie and Hans Coper will be shown with a group of fifteen clay creations from his personal collection. Three artists, dramatically different medium, common artistic direction— establishing and redefining space, investigating issues of materiality, harmony, and permanence. See it all for yourself in the exhibition in a gallery with extensive program.
