Milan Architecture in Your Glass

Argentinian designer Agustina Bottoni created objects of desire for summer parties and beyond: a trio of cocktail glasses, modeled after Milan architecture in the 1930s and 1940s.

Striking works of Italian architect Piero Portaluppi contributed to the Milanese splendor in the 30s-40s. Villa Necchi Campiglio is a real gem among the Portaluppi’s creations, one of the favorite places of Agustina Bottoni which inspired her to create this glassware collection.

The designer not only wanted to reflect the geometric shapes and volumes of the Villa, but bring in the Milanese tradition of “aperitivo”, an indulgent everyday ritual, allowing for a well-deserved pause for the busy urban lifestyle. The result is a coveted set with glassware to stylishly fit your drink of choice.

The pieces, handmade in Italy using borosilicate glass, are part of the Souvenir Milano project, presented during Milan Design Week this year.
