Gucci-Sponsored LACMA Gala : 2018 Honorees

The eighth edition of LACMA Art+Film Gala will be the museum’s premier fundraiser, bringing together art, film and fashion figures, celebrities, and civic leaders. 

The lavish affair, which will take place on November 3rd, LACMA Art+Film Gala will honor Fine art photographer Catherine Opie and Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro. LACMA trustee Eva Chow shared, that both artists share an exceptional ability to tell human stories that are relevant and important to our time. 

Catherine Opie captures aspects of American culture, identity and politics through her photographs, and is considered one of the most important artists working today. Guillermo del Toro creates work, that challenges its audience to ignore traditional art-historical narratives, and the filmmaker just had his first solo retrospective at LACMA

LACMA representatives highlighted Gucci’s commitment to art and film at LACMA and beyond, and the museum is very grateful to be partnering with the brand once again.
